Yoga and Meditation in Magical Colombia
El Matuy, Palomino, Colombia
You are about to experience one of the most special places on this earth. An area that houses not only the tallest coastal mountain in the world, but lush rivers, vibrant wildlife, and the great big sea. Close to the retreat center, the Natural Reserve El Matuy, are the indigenous tribes of Colombia that believe the base of the Sierra Nevadas is sacred, and is known as The Heart of the World. Parque Tayrona, a beautiful national park only 40 minutes from El Matuy is a great place to explore. If wildlife calls to you, this is the place. Colombia has almost 2000 different bird species, and 20% of them dwell in the area. At times, it can almost feel as if you are living within a dream, as the world around you is so abundantly beautiful it might not feel completely real. Oh but it is! And through daily yoga practice and meditation, there is no doubt you will be present and open to receive the indescribable beauty of Colombia.
Tracy’s Yoga and Meditation Retreat is open to all levels of practitioners, beginner to advanced. She is extremely aware of the time, effort, and money it takes to come not only on a retreat, and to South America no less! Therefore, retreat participants are invited to bring friends, families, and partners. Meaning, if one person signs up for the retreat and brings other people who do not want to partake in the yoga and meditation but wish to hang out at the beach and enjoy Colombia—because who doesn’t?!—they are welcome to come along. Those rates will reflect El Matuy’s daily charge.
